July 24th. 2006 Call for Research Participants. camh We have been asked to assist in finding participants for the following project; On behalf of a research team led by Dr. Lori Ross at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in collaboration with the LGBT Parenting Network of the Family Service Association of Toronto. We are currently conducting a study entitled "Lesbian, gay, transgender, transsexual, and two-spirit (LGBTTT) adoption in Ontario: Policy, practice, and personal narratives," which is sponsored by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. The study will involve interviews with LGBTTT adoptive parents or prospective parents. The goal of these interviews is to determine 1) how policies and practices reported by adoption agencies/licensees are reflected in the experiences of LGBTTT people; 2) what barriers and supports LGBTTT people describe as relevant to their recent experience with adoption in Ontario; and 3) what (if any) impact the experience with adoption has on the health of LGBTTT Women's Mental Health & Addiction Research Section Centre for Addiction & Mental Health
